Okay guys, sorry it took me so long but I have a very busy life sometimes. I did the fron tbodice and will do another video showing how to drape the back, you can download the three 10min segments on you tube or you can go here and download the whole thing. I also have a pdf of the step by step written instructions so you can print.
Here is video #1 part 1
Video #2 Part 2
Video #3 Part 3
Pattern Review: New Look 6557
Pattern Description: Dress
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, I think so.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I dont like the wau they have you cut and make the center bodice, I think it should be cu tin three pieces for better fitting.
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made: I added the sash.
Would you sew it again? Maybe
Would you recommend it to others? yes, it was an easy dress to make.

Very pretty dress, and the sash gives it a vintage flair. What type of fabric is the dress made of? It drapes very nicely.

Very pretty dress and the color looks great on you. I sew alot for myself. Do you ever find that you begin to run out of room in your closet? What do you do then? I am seriously going to have to get rid of some stuff.

I’m addicted to your blog! I am doing an online sewing course through one of the local universities and I think I just learned more about draping than several hours of class time. Thank you!
I love your super cute summer-y dresses too. It is just now warming up so I think my weekend project will be to bust out one of my own.

I love your sense of style, Mimi! The dress looks and fits fabulously, but you really kicked it up a notch with that sash. I would NEVER have though of that. You’re really talented.
